Rich Hume

Owner, President

Rich has been in the construction and remodeling industry for more than 25 years. Prior to the construction industry, Rich was in the fields of oil and gas exploration as a field engineer and the oceanographic mapping industry (hydrography) as a business owner, systems developer. Across these various fields, Rich has been a small business owner/developer for over 30 years. The most important thing to Rich as a business owner is everyone striving to be “best in class”. A business where everyone works with the highest level of integrity and a teamwork mentality is always Rich’s goal.

Renee Hume

Owner and Corporate Secretary/Treasurer

Renee has worked alongside her husband in the construction industry for the past 16 years. Previously, she worked for 14 years as an executive assistant, office manager and bookkeeper. Her current duties include overseeing the administrative and accounting functions of A&A as well as managing corporate operations. Renee’s father taught her early in life that any job worth doing is worth doing well, and she believes that it is important to strive for excellence in all aspects of life. She enjoys educating customers and recognizes that a homeowner who is well-informed will make the best possible decisions for their home and property.

Mike Abuswai

Manager of Business Development

Born near Bethlehem one of 19 children, Mike Abuswai immigrated to the United States as a young man.  He studied business and civil engineering at Dakota Wesleyan University, Dakota State University, and South Dakota State University.  Mike has managed and owned businesses and has 29 years of beneficial experience in sales, marketing, and management.  As General Manager and Vice President of Sales for Pacesetter, Mike was part of a team that grew the company from $68 million to $168 million in the exteriors industry.  Joining the team at A&A was a natural fit for Mike as he values the company’s approach of serving our clients with integrity.

Jim Korff

Sales Manager

Jim Korff has over 25 years of sales experience in the home remodeling industry. He has worked at several companies during that time including nine years with Pella Windows & Doors, four years at McKinnis Roofing and two years at American Exteriors. He has valuable experience with windows, siding, roofing, gutters, exterior remodeling, and working with insurance companies, all of which have been very helpful in working with his customers at A&A. Jim prides himself on the high level of service A&A provides as well as their quality workmanship.

Rick Parsons


Rick Parsons is a native of Nebraska and, after leaving the U.S. Army, started his own residential construction firm in Grand Island that he ran for 25 years. This extensive experience in exterior remodeling focused on roofing, siding, windows, and doors and he is pleased to bring this knowledge to his position at A&A. Rick has always worked hard to complete high quality jobs and provide the highest level of customer service to satisfy his clients.

Betsy Maschmann

Administrative Assistant

Betsy joined A&A after finishing college at Midland University in Fremont. Her degree prepared her well for the many tasks at the company she handles, including dealing with a large number of communications for the company. She has been excited to see the growth of the company in the time she has worked for A&A and looks forward to visiting with all of their valued customers. 

Eric Fenske


Since he was a young boy, Eric enjoyed making and designing things. This led him to a career in the construction industry, which he’s been involved in through various trades since 2008. Eric thoroughly enjoys his career helping homeowners resolve problems so they can better enjoy their houses. His desire upon completion of any project is to have delivered a quality project that he is proud of and that the homeowner appreciates. If Eric gives his all on every project, he feels he has done his job.

Jeff Friesen


Jeff has more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry and has worked in installation, sales, and planning. He graduated from Southeast Community College with a degree in heating and air conditioning and was featured on the Dean’s list. Jeff joined the staff of A&A as one of the first employees in 2011 and a highly valued member of the team. With an outstanding reputation for excellent work and integrity in his business relationships, Jeff is a core part of the A&A family.

Seth Gardner


A Nebraska native, Seth was born and raised in Lincoln. Growing up he helped his father in his woodworking shop and when he was in the 9th grade, he helped build their family home. Seth has worked in the remodeling/construction industry for 22 years because of the skills and passion his father passed on to him and enjoys being a part of a team that can solve problems with integrity.

Jesse Jordan


Originally from Missouri, Jesse has been a resident of Nebraska for 10 years, most of which he has spent working in the hotel industry. Jesse joined the sales team under Jim Korff two years ago and has enjoyed working with customers as a service-related sales representative. Jesse’s friendly and outgoing personality are always appreciated on the team and by A&A’s customers.

Todd Peterson

Field Superintendent

Todd has more than 30 years of experience in both residential and commercial trades. He has been fortunate to learn a substantial amount of skills in roofing, framing, painting, drywall, and more. Todd enjoys gaining experience and knowing the job is done right and it gives him great satisfaction working with clients and knowing that he was able to help them improve their homes.

Michael Rymer


Michael Rymer grew up throughout the United States, moving frequently as his father was in the Air Force. Born in Omaha, Michael attended high school in Greeley, Colorado and went to college at AIMS Community College and The University of Nebraska Omaha. After graduation, Michael joined the United States Army and served in several operations around the world. When he left the Army, he started in the home improvement industry and now has over 25 years of experience in this field.

Michael has worked with homeowners all over the Midwest and along the east coast. He has worked for several large firms helping homeowners with their remodeling needs and helping them with their home insurance claims. Michael believes that his integrity and commitment to listening to his customers’ needs are his greatest strengths. Every day he strives to live up to his favorite saying: Treat others as I would like to be treated and GIVE to others as I would to be given myself.

Jim Delahunty


Jim was born and raised in Southern California and moved to Nebraska after graduation. In his career, Jim has worked in general constriction and maintenance as well as a 911 dispatcher. As one of the newer members of the A&A Roofing & Exteriors team, Jim looks forward to becoming part of a company that always puts customers first. Jim lives in Ogallala with his loving wife and two wonderful children. 

David Nova


David is our Central Nebraska home remodeling specialist, covering the tri-city area (Kearney, Grand Island, and Hastings) since 1978. David brings to the table over 25 years of sales management and home remodeling experience. David has helped hundreds of satisfied customers with their home improvement needs, including windows, siding, soffit, fascia, gutters, walk-in tubs, and roofing. 

Scott Collier

Regional Manager

Scott has over 35 years of experience in the home improvement industry. Originally from Indiana, he moved to California and became a roofer and eventually a journeyman shingler for 17 years. He moved into sales and production management after becoming proficient working with homeowners and installation crews as well as insurance companies. Scott tested to become a licensed adjuster and has worked on-site at hurricane locations for many years. A true professional, Scott is looking forward to helping serve all of A&A’s customers.   

Jim Vance


Jim has 30 years of customer service and sales experience in various industries and has been in sales and sales management for the past 15 years. As he got more interested in construction sales, he made the decision to commit himself exclusively to home improvement /construction sales and services.  Jim is happy to work with the great team at A&A Roofing & Exteriors and looks forward to serving all of the company’s clients.
